Der Name leitet sich wohl von &quot;Pirimoos&quot;, im Bayrischen &quot;Biermoos&quot; ab und bedeutet &quot;Beerenmoos&quot;. Es hat eine Länge von etwa 300 m und eine Breite von etwa 150 m. Es ist ein Niedermoor und wird sehr stark beweidet. &lt;br /&gt;<br /> <br /> An der Südwestseite besteht ein noch junges Fichten-Hochmoor mit einer Größe von ca. 20 - 25 m².
