Diese Strecke ist zum Teil sehr breit ausgebildet, insbesondere im Raum [[Irdning]]. Der schmale Felsdurchlass Gesäuseeingang war nach Abschmelzen des [[Würm]]-Gletschers öfters verklaust und es kam zum Rückstau der Enns. Es bildeten sich Seen, die zu Grundwasserverhältnissen führten, welche stark vom restlichen Ennstal abweichen. Durch die aufstauenden Ereignisse prägt diesen Ennstal-Abschnitt ein nur flaches Gefälle. <br /> <br /> == Präglaziale Bildungen ==<br /> Präglazialer Talboden ist im Mittleren Ennstal anhand von höheren Terrassen und unterschiedlichen Geländeniveaus erkennbar. Sie sind jedoch nicht durchgehend korrelierbar. Am auffallendsten ist der präglaziale Talboden bei Wörschach, Liezen, Lassing und Selzthal im Gelände sichtbar.
